Estonia lies along the Baltic Sea, just below Finland. Tallinn, Estonia’s capital city is only about 40 miles south of Helsinki, across the Gulf of Finland. Lietuva, kurios vardas pirmąkart buvo paminėtas beveik prieš tūkstantį metų (1009 m.), būdama Vakarų ir Rytų kultūrų sandūroje, išgyveno dramatišką valstybės nepriklausomybės ir įsitvirtinimo istoriją. Viduramžiais Lietuva buvo didžiausia Rytų Europos valstybė, kurioje klestėjo amatai ir prekyba su kitomis šalimis.
